He was arrested on the 6th of March and had to send the whole night in a prison cell in Pretoria. He was later released on bail and his case was postponed to yesterday, due to the fact that there were inquiries regarding his case, whether his licence would should be suspended as well.
He pleaded guilty to the charges of violating The Road Traffic Act93 of 1996, section 59 which clearly states that

"(4) No person shall drive a vehicle on a public road at a speed in excess of-
(a) the general speed limit which in terms of subsection (1) applies in respect of that road;
(b) the speed limit indicated in terms of subsection (2) by an appropriate road traffic sign in respect of that road"

This has to be one lesson learned from Gareth Cliff, now he will never again exceed a speed limit.

ReplyDeleteit is a good thing he did not get off that easly and now people will learn from what happend to him, despite of who you are when violenting the law there will be consequences.
